Flanges
Flanges are a projecting flat rim, collar, or rib on an object that has the purpose of serving for strengthening or attachment (on a wheel) for maintaining positions on a rail.
The different types of flanges that we have are the following:
Flat face flanges
The Flat Face flange has a gasket surface in the same plane as the bolting circle face
Slip on flanges
Slip on flanges are a popular type of pipe flange designed to accept pipe into the bore/center of the flange for welding around both the Outer Diameter (OD) of the pipe and on the interior side of the connection.
Forged flanges
Forging is the application of mechanical and thermal energy to steel billets to cause material to change its shape while still in solid form
Galvanized
To coat with zinc for protection The steel was galvanized to prevent it from rusting.
